Accreditation Committee - Chair: Michele Ferguson can be reached at fergusom@sunyocc.edu

Committee Responsibilities:  disseminate NAEYC information to the early childhood community regarding accreditation process; assist programs that are in process of becoming accredited.

Communications Committee - Chair: Darcy Barber can be reached at jbarber002@twcny.rr.com

Committee Responsibilities:  develops a public relations plan; initiates contact with media to publicize association events; sends press releases regarding events; publishes associations newsletter and annual report, coordinate Week of the Young Child events, maintain website and maintain contact with State Communications Chair.

Finance Committee - Chair: Peggy Liuzzi can be reached at PeggyL@childcaresolutionscny.org  

Committee Responsibilities:  coordinating and overseeing board's financial responsibilities; recommend financial policy to board and monitor financial records; review and oversee the creation of accurate, timely and meaningful financial statements to be presented to the board; monitor budget assets and budget implementation and financial procedures; monitor compliance with federal, state and other reporting requirements; and provide oversight of the organizations financial audit.

Committee Responsibilities:  keep accurate, up-to-date records on current SAEYC members; identify and cultivate prospective chapter members; develop a recruitment plan to attract more members; plan annual membership meeting and administer "Member of the Year" award.

Public Policy Committee - Chair: Pat Gridley can be reached at gridley@cayuga-cc.edu

Committee Responsibilities:  attend legislative conference calls and at least one Public Policy Conference; distribute materials on legislative issues; attend legislative visits whenever possible and contribute information to the newsletter, website and Communications Committee Chair as needed.

Professional Development Committee - Chair: Mary Beth Curry can be reached at mbsc1@hotmail.com

Committee Responsibilities:  oversee earmarked annual events; administer student scholarships; contribute information about events to newsletter and website; track attendees and monies for events and present reports based on outcome of events.
